Atheist asked: - "If I eat dates, then I will sin? '
Sage replied: - "Of course not."
Atheists have the next question: - "And I shall have some water and then eat it with the palm, then sin will I?"
Monk said: - "It will not make any difference."
The atheist who again questioned: - "And sir, if I eat palm water mixed with a little yeast, then it would be a religious disobedience? '
Monks were aware of the whole thing, but still large, he replied quietly: - "No, not at all."
The atheist argument has now said: - "Then

एक साधु महाराज अपने सतसंग मे श्रोताओ को शराब से दूर रहने का उपदेश देते थे।
एक दिन एक नास्तिक व्यक्ति साधू के पास गया और उनसे बोला:- 'महोदय, एक बात बताइए।'
साधू ने प्रश्न किया:- क्या?'
नास्तिक ने पूछा:- 'यदि मैं खजूर खाऊं, तो क्या मुझे पाप लगेगा?'
साधू ने जवाब दिया:- 'बिल्कुल नहीं।'
नास्तिक ने अगला प्रश्न किया:-'और यदि मैं उस खजूर के साथ थोड़ा पानी मिला लूं और तब खाऊं, तो क्या मुझे पाप लगेगा?'
साधू ने कहा:- 'इससे भी कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा।'
उस नास्तिक ने पुन: प्रश्न किया:- 'और महोदय, यदि मैं उस खजूर में पानी के साथ-साथ थोड़ा खमीर मिलाकर खाऊं, तो क्या उससे कोई धार्मिक अवज्ञा होगी?'
साधू सारी बात समझ गए थे, किंतु फिर भी बड़े शांत स्वर में उन्होंने उत्तर दिया:-'नहीं, बिल्कुल नहीं।'
अब नास्तिक तर्क करता हुआ बोला:-'तो फिर
धार्मिक ग्रंथों में शराब पीना पाप क्यों बतलाया गया है, जबकि वह इन तीनों के मिलाने से ही बनती है?'
साधू ने नास्तिक के सवाल का जवाब न देते हुए उलटे उससे ही प्रश्न कर दिया:- 'अच्छा, एक बात बताओ।
यदि मैं तुम पर मुट्ठी भर धूल फेंकूं, तो क्या तुम्हें चोट लगेगी?'
नास्तिक का जवाब था:- 'नहीं'
साधू ने पूछा:- 'और, यदि मैं उस धूल में थोड़ा पानी मिला लूं और तब तुम पर फेंकूं, तो क्या कोई फर्क पड़ेगा?'
प्रसन्नता से नास्तिक बोला:- 'तो भी मुझे कोई चोट नहीं पहुंचेगी।'
साधू ने अगला प्रश्न किया:- 'और मित्र, यदि मैं उस मिट्टी और पानी में कुछ पत्थर मिला कर तुम्हारे ऊपर फेंकूं, तो क्या अंतर होगा?'
घबराकर नास्तिक बोला:- 'तब तो मेरा सिर ही फूट जाएगा',
अब साधू ने शांति से कहा:- 'मुझे विश्वास है कि अब तुम्हें अपने प्रश्न का उत्तर मिल गया होगा।'
अब नास्तिक वास्तविकता से परिचित हो चुका था।
सत्संग में तथा शास्त्रों मे हमे जो समझाया जाता है और जिन चीजो का परित्याग करने को कहा जाता है उसमे जीवात्मा का ही फायदा है।
