जीवन सुन्दर कैसे होता है

जब हम मिले हुये का दुरुपयोग नहीं करते हैं, तब हमारे द्वारा दूसरों के अधिकार सुरक्षित होते हैं और जब हमारे द्वारा दूसरों के अधिकार सुरक्षित होते हैं, तो परस्पर एकता होती है। जब एकता होती है, तो स्नेह की वृद्धि होती है, विश्वास की वृद्धि होती है। जब परस्पर स्नेह और विश्वास की वृद्धि होती है, तब जो नहीं करना चाहिए, उसकी उत्पत्ति ही नहीं होती। तब अपने आप एक ऐसे सुन्दर समाज का निर्माण हो जाता है कि जिसको पुलिस की, फौज की,न्यायालय की, लड़ाई के सामान की जरूरत ही नहीं होती। इस बात को सुनकर मेरे बहुत से मित्र यह सन्देह करते हैं, कहते हैं, 'महाराज ! आप ऐसी जो बात कहते हैं, वह व्यक्तिगत रूप से तो बिलकुल ठीक मालूम होती है; किन्तु सामूहिक रूप से ऐसा होना सम्भव नहीं है। परन्तु यदि आप गम्भीरतापूर्वक विचार करें, तो आपको यह स्वीकार करना ही पड़ेगा कि जो बात हमारे अहं में आ जाती है, वह विभु हो जाती है। आप सोचिये कि पहले आपको किस का भास होता है? आप कहेगे कि स्वयं अपना – यानी 'मैं हूँ’ । इससे यही तो सिद्ध हुआ कि आपसे पुराना इस दृश्य में कोई नहीं है। यह कल्पना नहीं है, एक वैज्ञानिक तथ्य है। इसमें दार्शनिक रहस्य है। आपके अहं से पुराना इस सारी सृष्टि में कोई नहीं है। अत: सृष्टि का कोई भाग ऐसा नहीं है कि जहाँ अहं न हो।
अहं विभु है; लेकिन विभु होने पर भी उसके गुणों में भेद होता है। अहं बुद्धि से भी सूक्ष्म है और सूक्ष्म होने के नाते सबसे अधिक व्यापक है। इसीलिये वह बुद्धि से भी अधिक सूक्ष्म है। बुद्धि मन से सूक्ष्म है, मन इन्द्रियों से सूक्ष्म है और इन्द्रियाँ इस दृश्य से सूक्ष्म हैं। अत: जो न्याय, जो ईमानदारी, जो प्रेम, जो श्रद्धा, जो विश्वास और जो सच्चरित्रता स्वयं आपके जीवन में आ जाती है, वह व्यापक हुये बिना नहीं रह राकती। इसीलिये व्यक्ति की सुन्दरता पर ही समाज की सुन्दरता निर्भर करती है। और इसीलिये यह बात कही गई है कि व्यक्ति अपने जीवन को सुन्दर बना कर ही समाज में सुन्दरता ला सकता है। जीवन सुन्दर कैसे होता है ? जीवन सुन्दर होता है, सत्संग से। और हम सत्संग करने में क्या स्वाधीन नहीं हैं ? हैं, सभी स्वाधीन हैं। अपने जीवन में से अपने जाने हुये असत् के त्याग में हम सभी स्वाधीन हैं। कोई भाई, कोई बहिन ऐसी नहीं है, जो सत्संग में स्वाधीन न हो। सत्संग का अर्थ है 'है' का संग। 'है' माने, जो मौजूद है। तो, मौजूद का राग करने में कोई पराधीन नहीं है। ऐसा मैं अपनी भाषा में कहता हूँ, मैं बे-पढा-लिखा आदमी हूँ, इसलिए उसमें कुछ दोष रह जाते हैं। यहाँ पर 'मौजूद' का अर्थ वैसा नहीं है, जैसा कि 'आप लोग यहाँ मौजूद हैं' ऐसा कहने में है।
