एक द्वारपाल जो देखने में बिलकुल उनके जैसा ही है

आखिर अहंकार क्यों?
कथा कहती है कि एक बार ब्रह्मा जी को अहंकार हो गया कि इतनीं बड़ी सृष्टी के वो अकेले स्वामी है! उन्होंने ही सारी सृष्टी का निर्माण किया है, उनके जैसा इस ब्रह्माण्ड में कोई दूसरा नहीं है! ये बात जगत पिता को अच्छी नहीं लगी और उन्होंने ब्रह्मा जी के अहंकार को तोड़ने के लिए एक विचार ब्रह्मा जी में मन में संप्रेषित किया!
ब्रह्मा जी के मन में जगत पिता के द्वारा विचार आया और ब्रह्मा जी सोचने
लगे कि कही ऐसा तो नहीं कि वो ही गलत हो, और जिस ब्रह्माण्ड का मै स्वामी हूँ, ऐसे और भी ब्रह्माण्ड हो और मै व्यर्थ ही अपने मन में अहंकार लिए बैठा हूँ! क्यों ना इस सृष्टी में नए ब्रह्माण्ड की खोज की जाये, और संकल्प लेकर ब्रह्मा जी नए ब्रह्मांडो को खोजने निकल पड़े!
कई कल्प चलने के बाद ब्रह्मा जी एक नए ब्रह्माण्ड में पहुचते है तो देखते है कि वहां एक द्वारपाल जो देखने में बिलकुल उनके जैसा ही है, खड़ा है! ब्रह्मा जी उससे पूछते है—आप कौन है? तो द्वारपाल कहता है कि मै ब्रह्मा जी का सेवक हूँ, और आप कौन? ब्रह्मा जी –मै ब्रह्मा हूँ!
द्वारपाल—मगर आप तो मेरे जैसे ही दिखाई दे रहे है, तो आप ब्रह्मा कैसे हुए?
ब्रह्मा जी—हाँ देखने में तो मै भी तुम्हारे जैसा ही हूँ, मगर मै अपनी सृष्टी का तो ब्रह्मा ही हूँ और तुम्हारे ब्रह्माजी से मिलना चाहता हूँ!
तब द्वारपाल ब्रह्मा जी को लेकर अपने ब्रह्मा जी के पास पहुंचा , तो ब्रह्मा जी ने देखा कि इस सृष्टी के ब्रह्मा तो चार हाथ और चार मुख वाले है! ये देखकर ब्रह्मा जी बहुत लज्जित हुए, और अपने आने का प्रयोजन जब नवीन ब्रह्मा जी को सुनाया तो उनके अन्दर भी एक नई सृष्टी को देखने का भाव जाग गया और अब दोनों ब्रह्मा एक नई सृष्टी की खोज में चल पड़े!
कई कल्प चलने के बाद वे दोनों ब्रह्मा एक नई सृष्टी में पहुँच जाते है! वहां उन्हें द्वार पर एक सेवक मिलता है, जिसके चार हाथ और चार मुख है! दोनों ब्रह्मा उस सेवक को देखकर अचंभित होते है, और अपने आने का प्रयोजन बताते है! तब वह सेवक उन्हें लेकर अपने ब्रह्मा के पास गया, तो उन्होंने देखा इस सृष्टी के ब्रह्मा के आठ हाथ और आठ सिर है!
दोनों ब्रह्मा अपने आप को उनके सामने बहुत लज्जित महसूस कर रहे थे, अब दोनों ब्रह्मा ने नए ब्रह्मा जी को अपने आने का प्रयोजन बताया, तो ये ब्रह्मा भी एक नई सृष्टी को देखने के लिए लालायित हो गए! अब तीनो ब्रह्मा मिलकर एक नहीं सृष्टी की ओर चल पड़े!
चलते-चलते कई कल्प बीत गए तो उन्हें अब सोलह हाथ और सोलह सिर वाले ब्रह्मा, फिर बत्तिश सिर और बत्तिश हाथ वाले ब्रह्मा मिले! इस तरह वो सब चलते-चलते एक दिन ऐसे ब्रह्मा के पास पहुच गए, जिसके करोडो हाथ और करोडो सिर थे! मगर अब इसके आगे जाने का साहस किसी का नहीं हो रहा था!
तब वही से सभी ब्रह्माओ ने मिलकर जगत पिता को नमन किया, और अपनी भूल के लिए क्षमा मांगी और अपने-अपने लोक को लोटने लगे! तब जगत पिता परमात्मा ने प्रशन्न होकर उन्हें दर्शन दिए, अपने अनन्त-अनन्त स्वरुप का दर्शन कराया और कहा –मै अपने एक संकल्प से कई-कई ब्रह्मांडो की रचना करता हूँ और मिटाता हूँ! मै आदि हूँ और अनन्त हूँ! मुझे प्रेम और समर्पण से ही पाया और समझा जा सकता है! मै बुद्धि से परे हूँ और हर काल में हूँ! इसलिए तुम सभी अपने-अपने अहंकार का त्याग करो और पूर्ण समर्पण भाव से अपना कर्म करो!
कहते है तभी से एक कहावत बनी—हरि अनन्त हरि कथा अनंता! परमपिता परमात्मा का ये सन्देश हम सभी जीवो और देवताओ और सभी प्रकार की योनियों के लिए है—कि तुम प्रेम और समर्पण से ही उसको पा सकते हो, और समझ सकते हो! अन्य सभी उपाय तो बस हमें प्रेम और समर्पण तक ले जाने के लिए ही है
